Minoxynom (Minoxidil 10mg.) tablet is an oral treatment for male hair loss. These tablets were originally prescribed in high doses to treat high blood pressure.
When taken orally in small amounts, it has been shown to increase blood flow to the hair roots.

With continued use, it can take up to 4-6 months to notice a significant increase in hair growth.

How to take Minoxynom (minoxidil) tablets

Our Minoxynom tablets are supplied with a strength of 5mg. and 10mg.
For hair loss treatment, take half of the 5mg. tablet (2.5mg.) once daily for 2 weeks, then increase to 1 tablet daily if tolerated.
We recommend this slow start so that you and your body can gradually get used to minoxidil and reduce the risk of side effects.

Safety & Precautions
Do not use minoxidil if you are allergic to minoxidil or have any of the following symptoms:
- Pheochromocytoma (adrenal gland tumor) Before you start taking this medication, tell your doctor if any of the following apply to you
- If you have angina (chest pain) or have had a recent heart attack.
- Asthma.
- Heart failure.
- Epilepsy or other seizure disorders.
- Kidney disease (or if receiving dialysis).
- Migraine You may need to limit or reduce the amount of salt in your diet while taking minoxidil.
Do not use potassium supplements or salt substitutes unless directed by your doctor.
Avoid standing up suddenly from a sitting or lying position as you may feel dizzy.
Stand up slowly and stabilize your body to prevent falling.
Tell your doctor about any other medicines you are currently taking or medicines you have stopped taking.
There may be interactions between Minoxidil and other drugs such as guanethidine, torsemide, spironolactone, amiloride, and levodopa.
During pregnancy, Minoxidil should only be taken with a doctor’s prescription.
The use of Minoxidil during breastfeeding is not recommended because Minoxidil passes into breast milk.
